Professor Patrick Flood

is Professor of Organizational Behaviour, Head of the HRM Group and a Deputy Director of the Learning, Innovation and Knowledge(LInK) research centre. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and a MBS and B.Comm. from University College, Dublin. He has extensive MBA and executive education experience and is an alumnus of the International Teachers Programme (ISBM). His teaching has been recognised with a teaching distinction award. Patrick maintains close links with industry. He is currently developing a DVD series on leadership with his DCU colleague, Aoife Mc Dermott, which is based on Chief Executives in Ireland. A former Fulbright, EU HUMCAP and British Council scholar, Patrick has held faculty or visiting appointments at the Australian Graduate School of Management, Irish Management Institute, London School of Economics, London Business School, University of Limerick and the University of Maryland. In 2006 he was appointed Honorary Professor at Northeastern University, China. His research programme on strategic human resource management and organizational performance has attracted 1.2 m in research grants. He is he recipient of a research excellence award. Patrick serves as a Consulting Editor with the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. He also serves as external examiner at QUB, Oxford University and Trinity College.
